All around the world, species of every kind are under increasing pressure. The fight for survival is becoming more and more difficult, and some estimates put the number of species going extinct EVERY DAY at between 27 and 270. Let that sink in. And these extinctions are happening almost entirely due to the actions of human beings. What really boggles the mind is that many of the reasons for species going extinct are easily preventable, but archaic beliefs and facts that are falsified to suit certain interest groups continue to guarantee the tragic demise of so many species
