Namibia has an international reputation as a haven for wildlife.
The reality, however, is that until recently, wildlife in large parts of the country, and particularly in the extensive communal areas, was in severe decline.
"By the people, for the people" is the story of how communal conservancies in Namibia are adopting community-based natural resource management pratices.
